Product brand
GenieBlocks started as a product brand for modular hardware.
2020
Founding
After taking part in Koç University KARMA in 2019 and İTÜ Çekirdek in 2020, the company was founded at İTÜ ARI Teknokent and worked on a modular Internet of Things platform.
Today
Teknopark İstanbul
We build a sector-agnostic energy management platform and the Genie AI layer.
Work along the way
Proof of concept with a mobile operator (2018)
2018 prototype
Proof of concept (POC); the system was run. IR control, remote adjustment, temperature monitoring, alarms and gas loss detection were tested.
TÜBİTAK MAM, Sun Tekstil
Prototype
A multidisciplinary wearable IoT prototype (2022), a LoRa-based emergency and personnel tracking jacket.

Öztuğ Evsizler
Founder & CEO
Öztuğ Evsizler is the founder and CEO of GenieBlocks. He is an embedded systems engineer; his nearly 20 years of embedded systems experience span hardware, firmware and team leadership roles. He founded GenieBlocks in 2020 at İTÜ ARI Teknokent.
The founder competed in sailing as a national athlete.

Five TÜBİTAK-supported R&D projects since 2020; four completed, one ongoing.
