Industry and organised industrial zones
Energy by panel, line and machine, on one platform
In industry, energy is both a significant cost and directly tied to production continuity. GenieBlocks combines metering by panel, line and machine with reactive power, capacity and maintenance data, so the energy team, the maintenance team and management look at the same data.
Three common problems
Reactive energy charges and power factor correction
A fault in the compensation system or a change in the load profile can show up on the invoice as a reactive energy charge. If it goes unnoticed until the bill arrives, at least one billing period is lost.
Explore: Invoices and savings
Peak demand and installed power
Loads that switch on at the same time push peak demand up. Without seeing which line creates that peak, and when, decisions about installed power are guesswork.

Equipment health and unplanned downtime
Wear in equipment such as motors, compressors and pumps can also leave a trace in consumption. If these signs aren’t tracked, the fault is noticed as unplanned downtime.

Where the data comes from
You start without replacing your existing systems. Today the platform takes data from:
- Modbus (RTU / TCP)
- OSOS
- LoRaWAN
- REST API
- MCP
Connected in the setup project: M-Bus · IEC 62056-21 · RS-485 · Pulse output · Analogue (4-20 mA, 0-10 V) · MQTT · Databases on your own servers
If your device isn't listed, we add it together.
Regulation
Turkey’s Energy Efficiency Law No. 5627 requires industrial enterprises to appoint an energy manager from among their employees. In organised industrial zones, an energy management unit is set up to serve enterprises below the consumption threshold in the law. The ministry can change the scope and thresholds, so check the current official text.

How it works: A consumption deviation on a compressor line
On a compressed air line, a compressor draws more power during the same operating hours than in the baseline period.
Device Comparison shows compressors of the same model side by side, and the equipment’s health score drops in Predictive Maintenance.
Genie prepares likely causes (for example an air leak or a clogged filter) and a maintenance recommendation as a draft awaiting approval.
The maintenance team receives the work order; after the fix, consumption and the health score are tracked on the same screens.
This is an example use case; it does not describe a specific organisation or result.
