Integrations
Start with the meters and systems you already have.
The platform is hardware-independent. It takes in data from the meters and systems you use, through the routes below. GenieBlocks hardware is optional; you don’t need it to get started.
Meter and field connections
From the electricity meter to field devices, these are the routes we take data in through today.
OSOS
Turkey’s automated meter reading system
Meter data read remotely by the electricity distribution company comes into the platform. The data is taken from the distribution company’s system, so nothing is installed on site.
You get the OSOS account from your distribution company.
Modbus (RTU / TCP)
A read and write client for Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP.
LoRaWAN
The LoRaWAN network server runs on the platform. It can also be installed on your own server.
Software connections
Your existing software sends data in; your AI tools connect to the platform.
REST API
Your existing software or data collection system sends data to the platform through the REST API.
MCP
Model Context Protocol
The platform opens up to external AI tools such as Claude through MCP.
Connected during setup
These connections are not off-the-shelf modules; they are configured in the setup project for the devices and systems on your site. We agree the scope together in the demo.
- M-Bus
- IEC 62056-21
- RS-485
- Pulse output
- Analogue (4-20 mA, 0-10 V)
- MQTT
- Databases on your own servers
Once the data arrives
Incoming data is linked to metering points and its continuity is monitored. This happens in these platform modules:
Metering Points
Catalogue of meters and metering points.
Device Mapping
Mapping a field device to a metering point.
Data Quality
Tracking of missing data and offline meters.
Meter Replacement Log
Serial number and reason for each replaced meter.
- Metering Points
- Device Mapping
- Data Quality
- Meter Replacement Log
If your device isn't listed, we add it together.
We go through the meter, device or software you want to connect together in a meeting, and agree on how it will be connected.
