Reactive energy
Energy exchanged with the grid by inductive or capacitive loads such as motors, transformers and capacitors, without being converted into work. Measured in kVArh.
When reactive energy exceeds the set limits, a reactive energy charge can appear on the bill. Power factor correction (compensation) systems are used to balance it.
